Morning White Dove
Elvis’ great-great-great
grandmother
was a Cherokee
you can see her
in the cheekbones
the wilderness eyes
and hear the plains
echo in every line
of Mystery Train
together they listen
for the wind riding
through Graceland
and the rattle
of carriages
returning
